The Acquisitions and Cataloging Department is responsible for the following:
- administering the library's collections and supplies budgets,
- ordering, receiving, and processing invoices for library supplies and all library materials
- processing graduate students' theses and e-theses
- processing gifts
- creating and maintaining the library's catalog records for items such as books, periodicals, microforms, audio-visual materials, musical recordings, government documents, and computer materials like CD-ROMs.
