Go for a ride in Stevens Point.

Check out the Green Circle Trail that offers 27 miles of scenic biking trails looping through the area.

This is one of the first in the nation to encircle an entire community! The Green Circle then connects to an additional 45 miles of trails. These trails wind through forests and parks, over wetlands, and along rivers, recalling the days of huge pineries, pioneer settlements, and the lore of the Wisconsin and Plover Rivers. Bicycling in Wisconsin

The League of American Bicyclists has repeatedly ranked Wisconsin as one of the top bicycling destinations in the nation.

And it's no wonder, with more than 80 trails in the "rails-to-trails" system, including the world famous Elroy-Sparta Trail, and hundreds of miles more on rolling, quiet country roads and through pristine forests. Wisconsin boasts a biking friendly culture and is clearly big on biking as a way to keep visitors healthy, happy and coming back to bike time and time again.

Linear Bike Trails

There are thousands of miles of traffic-free bike trails criss-crossing the state. By converting old railroad beds to paved or crushed gravel recreational trails, Wisconsin's rails-to-trails program features more than 80 fantastic trails waiting to be explored.

Try Sugar River State Trail, Elroy-Sparta State Trail or Old Plank Road Trail

Mountain Biking Trails

For adrenaline pumping adventure, experience the variety of mountain bike trails in Wisconsin. Ride single and double tracks as well as technical and flowy trails. Race up hills, splash through water obstacles, and ride over gnarly roots, rock gardens and berms. With a range of trails for beginners to old pros, it's a fantastic exploration of Wisconsin's woodlands.

Try John Muir Trails or WinMan Trails.

On Road Touring

One of the best ways to travel in Wisconsin is by bicycle. Quiet country roads give you a front row seat to simply amazing views. Whether you choose to ride the picturesque rolling hills in southwestern Wisconsin, along the stunning waterways of the Mississippi River or either of the Great Lakes, or the magnificent forest landscapes in our Northwoods, there's an adventure here waiting for you!
