EndNote Online: EndNote Click For Libraries

Latest News on EndNote Click - formerly Kopernio - for Libraries (October 2020)

EndNote Click now integrates with your institutional link resolver via OpenURL to help researchers avoid dead ends.

When EndNote Click is unable to provide one-click access to a PDF via subscription or to an open access alternative, users will now be directed back to your link resolver, providing access to aggregator content, non-digital holdings and other resources you specify, such as document delivery or interlibrary loans.

Send us the details of your link resolver to libraries@click.endnote.com and we’ll get it set up right away!

The Web of Science ECID (EndNote Click institutional dashboard) provides librarians insights into content access and coverage.

The EndNote Click plugin will always be available for free to researchers, regardless of affiliation or location. We’re now excited to launch a new tool that is designed specifically for librarians to deliver important insights into usage habits for all users affiliated to your institution.

The Web of Science ECID provides an aggregated, anonymized summary of content access and usage behaviors of researchers using the EndNote Click plugin. This provides valuable insights into the institution’s access coverage via journal subscriptions as well as open access alternatives and reveals potential issues that can be addressed. By combining EndNote Click plugin usage data with the powerful, extensive Web of Science datasets, we’re able to deliver unique information that can help to drive significant improvements to your researchers’ discovery and access workflow.

The Web of Science ECID does require a minimum threshold of EndNote Click users for the data to be useful. We estimate 10%-20% of the research population in your institution is a good start. Access to the Web of Science ECID is free through to the end of 2020 providing this threshold is met. Speak to your account manager for more details.

Spread the word about EndNote Click within your institution.

If you think EndNote Click could help your researchers or your colleagues, please tell them about it! You could cover EndNote Click as part of a training session or consider adding it to your library web pages. Recommending EndNote Click on social media also helps.

We have also recently introduced custom share links for your institution that helps new users get started more easily. Users who register via one of these links will also receive a free premium upgrade. Contact your account manager for details of your institution’s custom share link.
