EndNote Online: Importing references from library databases

Search@UW

To import references from Search@UW:

  • Log in to EndNote Online
    • tip: ensure pop-up blockers are disabled
  • In a separate browser tab, go to www.uwsp.edu/library
  • Enter keywords into the Search@UW bar
  • Click the title of a desired source
  • Under Send to, select the EndNote button
  • Citation will appear in the Unfiled group in EndNote Online

EBSCO

To import references from EBSCO:

  • Log in to EndNote Online
    • tip: ensure pop-up blockers are disabled
  • In a separate browser tab, go to EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate
    • If off-campus, login with your UWSP password
  • Enter keywords into a search bar
  • On the results page, click the title of a desired source
  • Under Tools, click on Export
  • Select Direct Import to EndNote Web
  • Click Save
  • Citation will appear in the Unfiled group in EndNote Online
